EXTORTION ATTEMPT ?

is obviously claiming to use what they feel is a copyright violation to enhance their business worldwide. They claim illegal use of a generic Krugerrand photo, calling it copyright fraud. If they truly had a problem with the photo, they would have contacted the party of concern and announced their dissatisfaction with a cease and dissist. THEY DID NOT AND NOW WANT MONEY. The only remedy, they clain, sufficient to end these internet web attacks, is to send them thousands of dollars. Extortion is they only way I can label this action. Their intent is clear, harm a business thereby forcing that business to send them money to suspend such activity. I BELIEVE THAT IS EXTORTION. Could their current or past customers be their next victims?
Little do they know that they themselves are committing copyright fraud. Displaying victims an entire (copyrighted) page of content, without permission of the author is a violation. How else could they achieve their goal of extortion. They suggest a remedy for using their photo, pay them and they will end the tort. I suggest a counter remedy, a class action suit by all the harmed internet users on their "Hit List" unless the practice stops. Anyone on that list can contact me.
It appears they have many web sites that can be used to haunt unsuspecting Internet businesses. I would imagine there are untold victims in the cyber world. Every illegal tag/link to a successful targeted web site, ultimately gives their website a higher ranking on many search engines. This way, their website becomes potentially successful overnight, even though they have not earned the right to be “counted”. Illegal tags are a gutless method of achieving popularity.
I am old and retired, so there is little they can effectively do to me, except for aggrivation. I would gladly assist others to do as I, give them back with they give out.
